The Owens pottery factory began producing art pottery in Ohio in 1896 and is known for its brown glazes with hand-painted flora and fauna depictions. This 3x4 inch vessel is glazed in the signature glaze of Owens’ Utopia pottery line and features cherry blossoms. The bottom is marked “JB Owens Utopia” with the vessel’s form number, #1050, and the initials “P.O”.
