    Description

    The skid pictured on the orange background is for sale. The other picture is showing a typical installation. This is the only skid plate which employs a support hoop attached directly to the frame rails of the car. The plates are carbon steel. Making this design the strongest BMW E30 IX skid plate on the market. Ideal for the IX rally racer / off roader. Components are powder coated for durability.
    We have developed a very sturdy cross bar that the skid plate attaches to. You are no longer depending on the core support or an unsupported plate to absorb impacts. This skid plate installation does require welding. The support hoop mounting plates will need to be welded to the frame rails. This can be done by any experienced welder, muffler shop, trailer shop, anywhere a welder can be found. This does not mean the skid plate is permanently attached, it is only the mounting plates that are welded to the vehicle. Mounting plates/stubs are available separately should the system outlast the vehicle.
    This skid plate system provides protection for the front sub-frame, front differential, the oil-pan, and transfer-case.
    Kit includes: The main skid plate and a transfer-case skid plate. Two support Bars. One to support the front and one for the rear. Quality hardware kit and instructions.
