Emery Sand (also called Turkish Emery, Emery Grit or Emery Grain) is a fine,
powdery
metal
sand.
It is primarily used in pincushions to sharpen your straight pins.
You’ve seen the little strawberry hanging off the end of the tomato pincushion…
that little strawberry holds the Emery Sand!
If you use it to “stuff & weight”
your pincushion, you’ll need to make a small muslin bag to contain the
Emery Sand
inside
the pincushion so it will not leach out of the pincushion!
